Journey With Coach Marion Through a Life of Fitness & Nutrition

Fitness Fingerprint: A Diverse Uniqueness

I am intrigued by the fact that every individual is unique in their own way. Even identical twins don’t have the same fingerprint pattern. There are countless environmental factors inside the mother’s body that forms the fetus’s fingerprints, including blood pressure, nutrition of the mother, hormone levels, the position of the fetus in the womb, density of the amniotic fluid and so forth.

When it comes to fitness, designing training programs and meal plans, it’s very similar to all the different aspects in the process of forming fingerprints because there are also many different factors to take in consideration during customization for clients. Just to name a few:

  • Body type
  • Fitness level
  • Time
  • Ethnic background and heritage
  • Age
People are Diverse!

One Size Doesn’t Fit All

As a fitness professional, I get asked a lot about what “fitness or nutrition camp” do I belong to. Are you into CrossFit? What about HIIT? How about Paleo diet? You rock with Keto? You roll with Intermittent fasting? It’s like what gang set are you allegiant to (lol). I have a philosophy that’s flexible because one size doesn’t fit all. Just because CrossFit training or Keto Diet works for you doesn’t mean it will work for the next person. It’s great that it was a success for you but it necessarily doesn’t mean that the person it did not work for failed at it.

It is a prime reason why I steer clear of dogma. The flexible approach that I adhere to allows me to gather the needed data and evidence to properly tailor a plan that fits the clients specific needs. You are different and unique!

Adjust & Adapt

Our body can do well under all different types of training and nutritional conditions, so I like to stay open-minded while gathering information as we experiment different ways to produce outcome-based results. I closely monitor those results which leads to real life assessments that allow us to properly adjust and adapt to multiple variables. The diversity of the human body is so vast and amazing I have to take a holistic perspective as people respond in many dissimilar ways. It’s a lot more work by taking this approach, but it’s one I’m willing to embrace in order to remain open to new ways and ideas to cater to my clients as we discover the distinct formula that custom fits their diverse uniqueness!!!
